Nicolene Louw studied graphic design at the University of Pretoria and later completed her Master's degree in illustration at the University of Stellenbosch. Together with Leonora van Staden, she co-founded Stripshow - South Africa's first female driven comics magazine. She is currently based in Pretoria where she lectures and works as a freelance illustrator, designer and fine artist. Her primary interest lies with narrative illustration and the telling of authentic stories through illustration and comics.
